Same. I majored in engineering and economics, work as a software engineer, and have absolutely no idea how computers or economies work.

well, there’s a complex system that we all participate in, and i believe everything can be modeled in principle (with some fidelity). i just can’t model a system this big and multifaceted

I think this is the number 1 sign of intellectual honesty (and not admitting it the opposite). Economy is so crazy complex, I’m not sure why so many people act like they understand it
