uh... that’s actually v surprising to me! what prompts you to read forwards vs backwards? does it depend on the kind of article?

broadly, there are two ways to write: 1) start general and guide your reader to the eventual point. 2) make the point concisely, and then make your case more broadly. I much prefer 2), and if someone writes in 1) I'll sometimes read it backwards to get the effects of 2).pic.twitter.com/bRvOGclc2b

ah yes, that makes a lot of sense. seems like there are two cognitive styles destructively interfering with each other here regardless, i want to try reading an article the way you do
