I thought that lowercase twitter was just laziness, but apparently people go out of their way to write in lowercase!
i use it to shift along the formal/informal spectrum: capitals when i’m feeling more formal, lowercase when i’m feeling more casual/among friends. definitely no hard and fast rules though; i’m happily inconsistent about it

I use xD for informality, to me lowercase doesn't have that feel of informality, it just looks worse to me :/

i turned auto-capitalisation off on my phone. i felt the “fit” was better. most of the time i’m txting or on twitter or making quick notes. they’re all relatively _informal_. it also reminds *me* that txt msgs are not the desired mode of deep comms for me. so much is lost.
