i’ll admit i had two people in mind with this question. one is @zooko, who seems especially sensitive to censorship, broadly construed — i.e., people monkeying with his information feeds. true/false/maybe?

True dat. I feel paranoia. I'm sure that it is desirable/profitable, and increasingly feasible for numerous orgs for them to exercise mind control on me, and the thin end of the mind control wedge is innocuous features like ads and algorithmic feeds.

i’m reasonably sensitive about this, but have a feeling i’ll move slowly toward your level of paranoia over the years. being sensitive here is increasingly important imo
