could someone from the tech industry (e.g. elon musk, sheryl sandberg, patrick collision in 10 years) do this if they set their mind to it? or are they not powerful enough? i can’t tell....
Seems like a fundamentally shitty trade off compared to inventing new technologies. It’s a giant gamble on gaining political power that may never pay off while fighting against tons of smart people doing the same thing instead of a collaborative iterative project
