i have a lot to say and don’t know where to start just kidding i know: it starts with spaced repetition software (at least for me). my goal has been to knuckle down and actually _learn_ some history, rather than simply letting it was over me (as i’d been doing for years)

Not really I thought you'd have some YouTube channel recommendations or something haha. I don't care much about retention. I'm in it for the larger lessons I can learn about how the world works.

for great takeaways (+ overall listenability) you cant go wrong with hardcore history (podcast)... but you’ve probably had that recommended to you a dozen times and are already a listener?!
