Interesting, curious why physics sells more than chemistry.https://twitter.com/curiouswavefn/status/1106992475049082881 …

Chemistry is underrated as pop science! It's the link between the exotic world of atoms and our everyday experience; it's what explains why common, familiar substances behave the way they do. Maybe better use of cool graphics and animation is what's missing.
tbh i think everything is interesting once you get your mind into it. but (earnest q) does chemistry appeal to you as strongly as the other two? of course, as my philosophy mentor was fond of saying, “de gustibus non est disputandum.”
i feel like the _discovery_ of the periodic table must have so goddamn mind blowing. maybe my problem is consuming it all as predigested knowledge
Likewise, but I wonder how much of this is due to poor marketing on the part of chemists.

Oh, yes, I tweeted about the biology part here https://twitter.com/ArtirKel/status/1097267295292932096 … It's amazing indeed.
Makes sense: Imagine in Conway's game of life and having to a)deduce the rules of the whole game just from observation b) Study what gliders do c) Study complex systems doing odd stuff a) and c), the study of the simple but hidden and the explicit but cumplex seem + interest.
One argument in defense of chemistry is that it seems like it has more longevity than biology does. In a million years' time, chemistry will still matter, as will computer science, and (of course) physics; biology probably won't.
