Hey Twitter, instead of a mute button, how about an adjustable volume knob?pic.twitter.com/Wt2i7sv96u
My only problem is I do _not_ want an AI that works for Twitter Inc to be the one deciding which are the "top tweets". I either want random sample or an AI that works for me (which implies I pay for it).
Yeah, I also resent these algorithms. But I'm curious, what would be your frustration with following someone's "Twitter Top Tweets™"?
You mean, allowing an AI owned by Twitter Inc to determine which ideas I hear?
Haha, alright, gotta respect the purify of your position here. Guess I'm just a little more willing to trade away this kind of control. (But only a little. My main info source is Twitter's raw/chronological timeline....)
Random sample to do this seems fine? If there's a super popular post that I would want to see, it would probably be "liked" by mutuals and bubble up that way
Sounds like you enjoy the algorithmic 'likes' in your TL, but if perchance you want to disable them, you can mute the keyword "suggest_activity_tweet"
This is great! I won't use it for now, but I searched and found other "secret keywords" like this that I'm using. So new to Twitter, so much to discover
