One that I particularly struggle with is the motion to stop using the word “crazy” because it could be (is?) hurtful to people with mental illness.

I am hesitant on 'crewed' rather than 'manned'. When used as a negative, 'uncrewed' is problematic because it is encapsulated within acronyms that are used to describe nouns (UAVs), rather than being pure adjectival modifiers on an optionally manned vehicle class. + homophone=bad

In general people who are anti-PC seem to feel it’s too hard to keep up with the changes. So I’m pro-inclusivity, but anti-change. (Citation needed, I know, I’m being lazy here)

It only feels “too far” because it’s unfamiliar and our culture historically has always been less than inclusive. We are human and our basic tendencies isn’t to embrace the unfamiliar even when it’s better. It’s important to recognize that.

Typo “basic tendencies” -> “basic instinct”

For years we’ve been using ”they” instead of he or she. However, we’re always being told how it's grammatically incorrect. It feels/sounds right though.

“Folks” instead of “guys” for 2nd person plural. Has some granola connotations I don’t love, but

I push back on people who think *everyone* should state their preferred gender pronoun when introducing themselves.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I’ve recently been referring to God with they/them pronouns in theological arguments (unless about a specific god with known gender like Yahweh)
-
How do you have theological arguments about a non-specific god?
