Picking locks. $20 in tools, some time on YouTube watching some how to videos, and then practice, practice, practice to develop your talent.
I have half a mind to take up this hobby with my nephew someday. Any suggestions on where to start?

Mr Locksmith has an intro series of videos on YouTube. https://youtu.be/gM3TCo45SzI while fiddling with a lock in front of my 8yo niece on Saturday, I explained how locks worked and the goal of picking with the rake and feel method. 45 seconds later, she had picked her first lock!
