      47. Maximum Security, 2000. The Kree trick the pangalactic council into quarantining Earth and dumping their worst prisoners there. Earth's heroes wreck their jailers and expel the alien prisoners while the pangalactic council fights a costly war to contain the resurgent Kree.

      48. Eve of Destruction, 2001. Moira MacTaggert and Colossus die in the course of curing the Legacy virus (mutant AIDS), leaving Magneto with an army of healthy mutants with which to conquer the world. Magneto is outsmarted and defeated by the X-Men, then executed by Wolverine.

      50. House of M, 2005. Quicksilver persuades his sister to rewrite reality into a world where Magneto is king and mutants oppress humans. Two mutants remember the old timeline, assemble a team, and show the Scarlet Witch she messed up. She fixes things but depowers most mutants.

      51. Decimation, 2005. Most mutants lose their powers, which in some cases is a blessing, but mostly really, really sucks. The government tries to collect and confine the remaining mutants at Xavier's school "for their own protection" using new human-piloted sentinels.
