Q: Have you tried learning with Spaced Repetition? (Anki, Leitner Box, etc) IF SO: what tips would you give to someone starting with SR? What to do, what to not do? (And if you tried SR and it *didn't* work for you, what happened?)
If a card is annoying to you (not just hard, but annoying), there’s something wrong. Don’t put up with it just because your past self put it in the deck. Delete it or refactor it.

This is kind of a hack for once you get going, but it’s been great for me: Put Twitter (or your smartphone addiction of choice) behind Anki in a folder. E.g., folder page 1 = Anki, folder page 2 = Twitter. Then commit to clearing Anki before proceeding to page 2.

Yeah the UI is terrible (and generally regarded as such). And yet still many people love it, myself included. If you give it another go, I’d counsel trying to look past the shitty design, if possible.
