9/ Good solutions to big markets make new intersections Whatever angle you take to solve the problem, it is very likely that it will emerge at the intersection of your target problem and something that has not touched it before.

10/ Good new products address a big market by intersecting with viable new technology and operate at the edge of consumer expectations.

11/ Some examples of new intersections Transportation: With a map on my phone I can get on a stranger car as if it was a taxi Communication: With a camera readily available I will share the most intimate moments with anyone provided I get immediate validation

12/ One of the amazing things about technology is that, unlike more traditional industries, the problem is that there are too many good opportunities. To pick, the right solution to a big enough problem needs to meet your interests and skills.

13/ Do you have the skills/expertise the solution demands? My general take is that companies are mostly driven by a subset of these skills: - Technical - Ops - Marketing - Product - Sales

14/ The solution you want to implement, for the problem you select, likely needs you to be excellent at a *subset* of these. Your core team needs to have the best person there is for each of the required skills.

15/ Can this problem define you? Skills are not enough. The problem needs to connect deeply with your sense of self: solving this problem needs to reinforce your values and reaffirm your place in this world. That is, you need to be passionate about it
