that was a great article! I endorse pretty much everything in there. But Q: what if the factors pulling us apart are deeply structural, and the problem can’t be solved just by exhorting people to move up the horseshoe?

I can't solve frustration, radicalization and tribalism with a blog post, but some people don't even know that an alternative exists. I'm aiming at the people who are teetering on the edge. If I nudge them up the horseshoe, perhaps later they'll nudge a couple of their friends.
