Probably https://shubhamjain.co/2016/10/02/fallacy-of-hating-the-rich/ …. It's customary to despise the rich for opulence. "Why can't they donate more instead of buying yachts?" We don't realise that the world's problems are far more rooted in adverse institutions than lack of capital.
Good point about priorities — but I still think it's appropriate to hate that kind of wasteful extravagance, no?

Personally, I have moved from feeling disgusted to not have any opinion. It's their money and there are limits to how much charities can move the needle.

imo the hate is misguided. define wasteful? it is not as if the money is burned -- whether it ends up in the hands of yacht builders/sellers, or gets plowed back into bonds/equity, it is still circulating throughout the economy
