A man in Russia today, pianist Nikas Safronov, chains himself to a McDonald’s and screams, “They don’t have the right to close down!” before he’s carted off by the police. Someone in the crowd yells back, “In six weeks, they’ll reopen under another name!”

I came to say, it might do him some good to have that closed for a while. But then, the Twitter scolds. I am hoping this is the corner with the snarky people in it.

Russians are/will be able to travel to countries of former USSR, right? So I wonder if places like Baku & Tashkent will become destination trips to get access to western products/food (that is if they somehow have money to do so).

The problem is that their currency is worthless, so travel is going to get really expensive.
