Unless he gets back into Parliament first he can't run for leader. Almost a shame. He wouldn't be my first choice but he'd be way better than Starmer.

Guess it's possible he might persuade another Labour MP to retire early so he can have a crack at their seat, though it's risky as another party might pick it up. Or he tries for Chesham and Amersham which is vacant but has only ever voted Tories in.
