A worry I know.. live in Torquay, have no cases as yet of new variant, but know it won’t be long. Take care..

Thank you. People who are over 60 are having to be unbelievably prudent in my part of the world. Communities with the highest infection rates in the UK are six miles from us. It is truly terrifying. You take care

Kevin (only to maybe ease your worry a little) can I point out that when media are saying "new infections" this is NOT TRUE. They should be saying "tested positive" which in turn they should explain means "probably nothing", because of false positives from testing.

"Cases" is NOT sick ppl. Cases = ppl tested positive. My family have a few now, tested "positive" not one is a sick person bt all now are included in the nightly drama of "new cases"... the really dishonest media even say "new infections" = 100% disingenuous.

Your family have been lucky..everyone I know who has had it were not very well at all, several had hospital treatment and several have still got exhaustion and other symptoms months later.
