You cannot blame people for what's happening all around the world People need to live people need people, it's our natural instinct to come together for support, the firebreak was too short at the time it started

It’s not easy but sacrifices have to be made. I have wanted to see a close family member (who isn’t well) almost every day since March. I have seen him twice for for 15 minutes outdoors. I’d love to get together but it’s irresponsible and selfish

Figures may have looked better but behaviours haven’t changed from what I’ve seen. I’ve decided many people are just stupid and/or selfish

What? When the pubs were shut and you couldn't buy a baby's bottle, children's clothes, baby blankets and other essential items and one of my grandchildren had a 3 week half term and the my other one a wonderful week half term. Now the pubs are shut again. Not the people at all!

Lockdowns are unworkable because not everybody adheres to it , so why repeat it and not try something else like shielding the vulnerable ?
-
Shielding the vulnerable is well nigh impossible. They do not live in total isolation - they have carers, health support, deliveries and other interactions with the wider community. It’s a pipe dream put about by people who should know better.

Christmas has been postponed for me and my family, all flights I've booked to the UK have been cancelled by the airlines involved, whilst both Wales and Hong Kong remain in effective Lockdown, which only work if people follow the Rules.
-
So sorry to hear that Chris. Please take care
