Kevin - if I put the point badly - I apologise - you can see my point previously made here. But can answer the question - what ex-leader didn't resign quickly or didn't keep out of the limelight so as to not undermine the new leader?https://twitter.com/SanjayFBPEUK/status/1328989815048691719?s=20 …

The leadership shouldn't thrust him into the limelight to continue their political assassination.

I am not a Lab member and I don't think Starmer is perfect - but what I see is concerted effort to undermine him (eg twitter storms for
#StarmerOut etc) The fact these people continue to bang on about an ex-leader - is self indulgent.2 antwoorden 0 retweets 0 vind-ik-leuks -

Starmer’s actions and inactions are the problem. Plus the growing impression that he has reneged on his promises to members when he was being elected. Obviously there is a core who didn’t accept his win. Ordinary people are entitled to this.

Lab were moving up in the polls and finally leading. Starmer's approval was even ahead of Labour's and way ahead of Johnson. Most ex-leaders would move into the shadows so that they wouldn't be seen to undermine their successors - not so with Corbyn. Self indulgent.

Don’t get carried away by how leaders poll. Political polls are pretty meaningless. Leader polls more so. Starmer/Evans decided on this action of an unjustified suspension and even ignored the 5-0 findings of an NEC panel. Just look at Blair!

I wish I didn't have to don't care, but under FPTP we are all burdened with the BS in Lab party politics. I look at Blair/Brown and see they made mistakes (Iraq, PFI) but also helped millions. Only Lab leaders to have actually helped the poor in UK in 40ypic.twitter.com/jl4UUlc496

Wilson and Callaghan helped the poor. Labour squandered the 1997 landslide. PFI was a mistake. The genocidal sanctions on Iraq and the war were a catastrophe. Blair benefitted enormously from FPTP. Just look at 2005!

And look what his irresponsible relaxation of gambling laws did - tens of thousands of deaths and families ruined. Then there was his relaxation of pub and club opening hours. All to pay back the donations from the gambling and drinks industries he got. Not nice

I think you will that was Farage standing down Brexit Party candidates in pro-Brexit areas to help Johnson
