The sort of loyalty to support the killing of hundreds of thousands of civilians in the Middle East. No thanks

So you aren't complaining about lack of loyalty when Jeremy Corbyn was leader? Note: Robin Cook showed loyalty to the Lab Gov but on a specific issue voted on his personal principals - not the hundreds of times Corbyn opposed last Lab gov.

Robin Cook did just that - as did Corbyn on so many points of principle. I love principled politicians but they are such a rarity

To do it on big issues is one thing - to do it hundreds of times and to every Lab leader is another - to do it after being a leader and undermine the current leader shows a pattern.

But surely they were big issues to him and his principles. These weren’t votes to make short term political capital, they were votes of principle. Sadly many MPs of all parties struggle with the latter concept

Yes always vote on principals and never compromise. You can feel good, show how principled you are and not have to partake in the grubby business of actually delivering change for the millions who need it.

If every MP voted on principle life would be much better

Perhaps that is the problem - we are asking to make decisions on how things are and not from how we want them to be? Corbyn is not liked by enough of the electorate (we can disagree on why) but I cannot see you can disagree on the reality.

We have a dysfunctional electoral and parliamentary system. Hence why so many in Scotland and Wales want to leave it

In GE19, there are 65
@Conservative seats where the combined vote of the opposition was more than the Con Vote. Of the 65 seats, through cooperation:@UKLabour would win 43@LibDems would win 17@theSNP would win 5 Cooperate - bring in PR - then vote for who you want.2 antwoorden 0 retweets 0 vind-ik-leuks
Fair point - we have a partial OR system in Wales and that has its downsides. Right wing Brexiteers given a voice and a research budget
