Kevin - if I put the point badly - I apologise - you can see my point previously made here. But can answer the question - what ex-leader didn't resign quickly or didn't keep out of the limelight so as to not undermine the new leader?https://twitter.com/SanjayFBPEUK/status/1328989815048691719?s=20 …

Sanjay 💙 #FBPE #FBPA #FBPPR @SanjayFBPEUKWhatever you view on@jeremycorbyn - he is very polarising within Lab and the electorate at large. If@jeremycorbyn really wants to help the millions in our country he would now take a back seat as other ex-leaders do and tell his supporters to concentrate on opposing the Tories3 antwoorden 0 retweets 0 vind-ik-leuks -

The leadership shouldn't thrust him into the limelight to continue their political assassination.

I am not a Lab member and I don't think Starmer is perfect - but what I see is concerted effort to undermine him (eg twitter storms for
#StarmerOut etc) The fact these people continue to bang on about an ex-leader - is self indulgent.2 antwoorden 0 retweets 0 vind-ik-leuks -

Starmer’s actions and inactions are the problem. Plus the growing impression that he has reneged on his promises to members when he was being elected. Obviously there is a core who didn’t accept his win. Ordinary people are entitled to this.

I accepted his win and gave him the benefit of the doubt. I actually called for unity after the leadership election and to support him - he badly let me down

If you have criticism of Starmer that is one thing - but there has been a constant attack by Corbyn supporters to undermine Starmer. Now what is their solution - to bring back Corbyn - already rejected in 4 elections. It is self indulgence at the expense of the electorate.

I never said bring back Corbyn. That poor man has endured enough unfair abuse from the media - he deserves some peace. But because they know his decent ideals have reached a new, younger generation they will never stop attacking him

Would help if he kept a low profile and encouraged his supporters to stop attacking their own party - but the
#StarmerOut crowd has been busy helping the Tories.5 antwoorden 0 retweets 1 vind-ik-leuk
I’ve never said #StarmerOut and most people using it appear to be ex-members who have left because of him and who bitterly resent his divisive actions

Didn't say you did - but many others did and still do. Many of us don't care about party or leaders but just want to remove the Tories as we realise any other opposition party will be better in magnitudes. The 'anyone not us are Tories' narrative - enables the actual Tories.

Starmer is weak, inept and divisive. Zero chance of GTTO with him as leader. He’s got all the charisma of a grey John Major!
