I'm Northern Irish. I became a campaigner for Corbyn's Labour because I genuinely believed that if he won an election, it could do real good for here and the rest of the UK. As such, I focused on Westminster. Starmer's Labour offers me nothing. Time to fight at home once more.

There's little point in me staying in the Labour Party. Here in Northern Ireland, we can't stand for elections. I was hoping something might change under Corbyn, but one of my main criticisms re Jeremy is that he never sought to address it. He had little interest, really.

If I lived in England, Scotland or Wales, I might feel differently. It is not my place to tell socialists in those countries what their battles are. For me, I've had enough. I have to consider that I can do more to advance the cause of socialism by leaving at this point.

So, yeah. I'm out. But I'm going to stay here as a socialist, and I'll still have my take on things. This is the right decision for me. You may make a different one. I'll support socialists on many different fronts. And hopefully, I can find a means to fight here too.

Solidarity - the couple of years I've been here have been some of the most positive of my life. The left on here are a massive part of that. Thank you for making me feel like I have something of value to offer. All my solidarity.
