I think the writers of those ballots purged should be advised. How would I know if mine was one of them or not?

It does depend a lot on why votes were deemed invalid ... at a normal election count (especially when there's more than one election on the same day) there are stacks of empty ballots for example, but that is different to votes that are clearly marked but ruled out for ?

Hence my question. When potentially democracy is undermined we must all worry. If there were legitimate reasons - and there is a rule book entry to substantiate it - as a democrat I will accept it.

Maybe need to ask that LP published a breakdown of votes considered invalid by reason?

Remember the last leadership election for Jeremy Corbyn, lots of members were disenfranchised after a trawl of members twitter feeds. I was suspended, my vote voided and reinstated after the leadership vote. It's what

My actual offence what to call one
@UKLabour a "traitor". I actually don't mind being pulled up for language, but this trawl was done, just so it could be used for disenfranchisment. I was reinstated after the vote and resigned. - Antwoorden weergeven

It is becoming increasingly difficult to remain a Labour member. Judging by the turnout and the number of resignations from membership, I suspect more people feel the same. Now the election is over there will be a significant number of further resignations.
