This season doesn't deserve a champion. Unpopular opinion and yes, I'd say the same if someone else was on top of the standings.

You wouldn’t be saying that if a certain Belgian was leading the championship

You may not believe me, but I would. Had Ypres and Monza run as planned, everyone would know for some time now how to prepare, etc. Do you want to crown a champion with nobody knowing it was last rally? Wouldn't feel right for me either had it been Neuville. Shambolic season

No driver knew how this global tragedy would unfold, so no driver had an advantage. As it’s turned out the person leading the championship has won the most rallies and finished every event (unlike his elite competitors). Other sports have crowned champions on incomplete seasons

There has been also the case of a super season in endurance racing few years back, so the idea is not that crazy.

Rather than argue about this the reality is there has been incompetence in both the FIA & WRC promoters adding two new events located in global COVID19 hotspots in the midst of European winter. Sheer madness. Solidarity with the people of Belgium and Northern Italy

WRC events can’t be put up quickly. It’s a slow process while covid-situation has changed quickly. Also remember that the event dates have changed multiple times. I believe they’ve done all the could.

I think they are all fair points - but Belgium had the most incompetent public leadership of COVID19 in Europe in Wave 1 (measured by per capita fatalities) and that should have been a clue for Wave 2. I honestly thought Northern Italy was doing better with Wave2 but was wrong

In times of crisis never easy, but Britain had it's share if incompetence over the last few years. And we're not going to go further into that discussion

The UK Prime Minister is an incompetent, evil idiot. He has caused the deaths of tens of thousands of Britains. Luckily in Wales our devolved Government has been far more prudent - hence they cancelled Wales Rally GB very early on to put citizens health ahead of sport
