It’s a common deficiency in the elderly due to poor nutrition. Might explain susceptibility to the virus.....

Derived from sunlight. Seasons esp in northern hemisphere, use of sunscreen, skin pigmentation, age can reduce absorption. I am prescribed regularly because of my Lupus (triggered by sun). My consult reckons 1:5 are lacking. A personal warning, can cause real bowel probs

It is strange I was prescribed for yrs with no probs. Yet suddenly started to get real UBS symptoms. Asked GP who though But F not likely but suggested I stop and see. Could be coincidence but with 3/4 days fine. Recently started take a small dose -we shall see
