Of course not but we need to try everything we can - this isn’t a silly debating game. We are all trying to keep infection rates down to save swamping NHS in 4-6 weeks

Japanese 3 Cs was easier to understand but it they also are disciplined. In the West you need to take people with you when it comes to restrictions on their lives. The last 2 days have not exactly been an exemplar approach to policy making in that respect.

Covid has exposed a lot of issues in UK society. A low wage economy in many places built on sand, widespread poverty and a society where quite a few people believe that rules of any sort are for others but not for them.
