Kevin Books are being covered up and classfied as non essentials. Its like something out of Orwell. Its also a distraction from the real issue. When academics with no axe to grind describe it as making Wales a laughing stock we should all be concerned.

I won’t criticise them for trying to do the right thing - ie minimising shopping trip frequency and duration by reducing the selection of goods available for all of 17 days. Let’s get a sense of reality it’s only 17 days - we had a week to buy books in advance

Nobody knew that they were going to do this. It doesnt even limit the number of shopping trips. If we are talking about essentials why not make alcohol and cigarettes non essential? It would help regenerate livers throughout Wales! Be interesting to see the response as well

You know the challenges around alcohol and tobacco addiction and the consequences of such a ban. I’m not going to criticise them as they try to do their best to protect the NHS from being swamped - we are being asked to do is lockdown for 17 days. It’s a sacrifice worth making
