I think Labour will end up backing it - just because enough of their electorate end up supporting it. But they’ll do their best to hinder until then. And I don’t think we want an SNP situation - ideal world imo is an Indy wales breaks with one-partyism.

I think WLab might be farther along than people think - regional ballots are pushing Indy (curious) people into the Senedd (eg Kevin pascoe on the list and Ben gwalchmai on the ballot). Scottish Labour would never have allowed that.

I am not alone - many in Welsh Labour are happy to discuss independence - and real federalism as an alternative. We aren’t going to end up like Scottish Labour

Federalism won't work .... As the real power will still reside in london. We need the power here in Wales. Independence can only deliver that

I’m talking about true federalism where we choose what we buy into and what we don’t. For example my personal views on Trident is that we shouldn’t contribute

But the only way we will truly be independent is by being Independent and having all levers of power in Wales ,have our own central bank so we are in control of borrowing and have our own currency. We need all control of resources to be in Wales's parliament s hands

I understand your perspective, but Elfyn has brought some very practical perspectives on its road to achievement. I’ve enjoyed the discussion but I’m off to bed now. Good night

Are you talking about Federacy like Puerto Rico, Barbuda, Nevis or Åland?

I’m talking in the broadest terms of our right to self-determine what we choose to buy into and what not to. I have no particular model in mind just the self-determination principle

I respect what your thoughts are Kevin and debate is good
but problem is..it sounds like a middle ground fudge, but a typical Labour party type of fudge.Something to keep Wales happy and which suits the Labour party. This is why it wont work..Total Independence the only answer1 antwoord 0 retweets 0 vind-ik-leuks
It’s not Jay. Sorry if haven’t got the required purity of thought. Take care

Nothing to do with purity of thought . Federalism just won't work. We have 4 nations making up UK but of them is by far the dominant force and that's why federalism will not work . Wales needs total independance
