Any thoughts on the tweet below? It’s independence or bust for me. Federalism won’t work when Scotland is independent and NI rejoins the Republic and Tories are perpetually in charge in England. Too many mixed messages from within Labour on Brit Union and Welsh Autonomy.https://twitter.com/KevinPascoe/status/1310361091512455168 …

You haven’t answered my questions. Any Labour Indy message will be drowned out by an overwhelmingly unionist Labour Party. And it is inconceivable that ANY Westminster party can continue to be represented in Wales post-independence. New independent parties will need to be formed.

I don’t expect you to name names (although you can if you want to) but do you know of any Welsh Labour MPs or MSs who strongly believe in Welsh Independence?

So Kevin , just a quick question ? would you consider a Welsh Labour party in Wales that breaks free from its links with London totally and become pro Indy ? So it doesnt take its orders from UK Labour and isnt pro union and becomes pro Indy ?

It doesn’t take its orders from London, as Mark Drakeford shows daily, but I have previously made calls for a far more federal arrangement within the party. Again there is strong support for that in the party itself, particularly around building capacity / resources locally
