It’s a wonderfully melodic language! As a young woman, I went out with a Welsh speaker. He didn’t speak English til he was 5, and they only spoke it at home when there was an English person visiting! It survived persecution amazingly! A cultural gem.

I used to ask him to speak it, just for the sound. So pleased that Irish and Scots Gaelic are being fostered. Now ‘Pascoe’ is a Cornish name, I believe and the Cornish language is still alive, I think and hope.
