No pandering to the English. I love the welsh language but find it disrespectful when entering a pub punters are speaking in English & switched to Welsh when we ordered our drinks. They were positively hostile & this was not the first time I’d experienced such behaviour, sadly.

That’s a little Faragesque of you. It’s their prerogative to speak their own language. Isn’t it disrespectful of you to be listening to other people’s conversations?

So I make an observation that six people at the bar in a welsh pub are loudly speaking in English switch to Welsh when a rather posh women orders the drinks for a group of five. We say hello & are ignored. That’s being Faragesque. Good to know Helen
