For all of Corbyn's faults, at least he led by conviction and a fine tuned moral instinct which guides his politics. I'm not sure what Starmer is and I think he's in the same boat as me.

Corbyn's problem wasn't the conviction, it was the "leading". As for Starmer, Nick Robinson does a podcast called "political thinking" where he interviews politicians about their views and where they came from. His interview with Starmer from 2 years ago gives a great insight.

A fair point on leadership - JC was far too forgiving of people who didn’t deserve it and that was a leadership weakness. KS seems not to have any conviction in his politics but equally I am awaiting for him to demonstrate leadership. I want him to succeed but am losing patience

Yes, that's the main fault I was alluding to in my first tweet. By all means let people have a voice, but you must show ruthlessness when faced with abuse that goes beyond reasonable criticism. I like Starmer, he's a good man, but I feel he is playing a role. I want to see "him".
