England is still not managing #COVID19 well as the R number shows. Why can Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales do better than England? I remember - it’s Johnson #BorisHasFailedEnglandhttps://twitter.com/GlennBBC/status/1271465311338987520 …

Only hope that children going back to school in two weeks time doesn't cause a problem that could have been avoided for the sake of a matter of 4 weeks. Fingers crossed that it's a correct decision.

It’s really difficult Pete. There are no right choices sadly

Don't really get the urgency they attach to it. Parents choice for the kids, I know, but that choice for teachers and support workers is not there. Teachers Unions are quiet, but I would expect some intervention before return.

Many parents will choose not to risk it. Many children and teenagers are missing social contact and it may be impacting on their mental health. These are the difficult choices. Many staff can’t return. But this is set against the risk of a second surge or local hotspots

With the house to house visits in gardens with social distancing, I feel that the argument for return is weakened on the mental health aspect. Kids can now meet, and will be unable to get closer in school. Ah well, still surprised Unison hasn't made a stronger case.
