Please explain to me how we, the Uk, still in lockdown till tomorrow morning, managed to get over 3,000 cases? Lock down doesn’t work by the looks of it. Either that or incubation period is vast.

Lockdown has mitigated deaths that would otherwise have been over a hundred thousand - rather than 55,000 so far. The failure to impose lockdown early was a major mistake, along with ignoring WHO advice on testing and tracing and inadequate PPE. We could have avoided most deaths

It is possible but again impossible to know now in hindsight.

It’s not hindsight. We ignored advice at the time and went ahead with the Cheltenham Festival and international football and rugby events. This was Government manslaughter

Do you have data on people who went to Cheltenham? Would be good to see if it impacted the crowds

Look at excess mortality rates in Gloucestershire, Liverpool, and Cardiff/ Newport in South Wales. All amongst the worst in the UK outside London. It’s not just the attendees it’s the secondary contacts in hotels, taxis, etc. Ad the failure to quarantine international travellers
