Thatcher, as much as I despise her, tapped into the mood of the boomer generation; who've stayed loyal to her ideas since. Corbyn, similarly understood millennials, everything Starmer's doing is turning those voters away; there's a real opportunity for a new left party to emerge!

I’m desperate for a socialist alternative to the dying Labour Party

Sadly it won’t happen. The answer is to change Labour from within. Socialist Parties will be debating societies for purists and never achieve change for those who need it. We need to look at 1945 when we did make the breakthrough. I agree Starmer has totally failed so far

Just wondering, because I know nothing about the inner processes of the Labour Party apart from the supposed OMOV. If every socialist in the UK were to join Labour, could that change the make up, using the so called democratic processes?

To clarify, would 400,000 socialist members be able to change the make up of the PLP, NEC and whatever other bodies control the Labour Party? Also, would lots of socialist members leaving bring about loss of OMOV?
