A kilometre long queue sounds bad but people wouldn't be in it any longer than they currently queue...

(And if the CEO of Heathrow thought there was money in it they'd have obviated queueing years ago...)

Wow that sounds great - we British just love a queue; not like those pesky foreigners ; up the Empire, we're the best (idiots!)

Difficult one for me this one. Would we want to revert to the days when flying was only for the rich/privileged? Surely we should be looking at the best ways to reduce the impacts of flight, but without necessarily curtailing the ability to move round the globe?

Well said. I agree with you, we should only have those with money flying. Too many horrid working class people using planes. It is why I support you, as I too hate working class people.https://www.jackhorny.com/coronavirus-are-people-going-to-use-the-nhs-contact-tracing-app/ …

That’s a stupid take on my comment and you know it. What’s wrong with only flying up to once a year regardless of wealth? Ideally once every couple of years

Whilst I would love this sadly the rich would find a way round it. Also for people like my Kiwi wife with family in NZ it is not wholly practical in times of family emergency

I think both points are key

Yes lovely thought. Reminds me of great first trip - Ashford(?)-Le Touquet, in the air c.20 mins... Meanwhile, kilometre-long queues is lazy nonsense. Stagger flightimes. Segment queueing. Speed departure/arrival procedures. Provide in-queue entertainment. All easy stuff, no?
