Why can’t we count the dead properly? How many have died in care homes? Does anyone know? Or do we need to wait a month for figures from yesterday?

I think that left wing journal the @FT
are currently estimating the real UK death toll being 43,000. Their data analysis is attempting to address our inadequate data collection systems. Govt are quite happy not to report the magnitude of non-hospital deaths #IgnoranceIsBliss
