I'm a Labour man. I have been since I was twenty years old fifty three years ago. I'm trying hard to give Keir Starmer the benefit of doubt and time to bed in. But if he fails to act decisively and soon on this it's going to be well nigh impossible to continue to support him.

For me, there’s already far too much evidence that Starmer wants to drag the party back towards Blairism.

Good question but I’d say that his reaction to the leaked report suggests that he has the instincts of a centrist and not the heart of a socialist.

Also I‘m uneasy about his relationship with unison, which supported his leadership candidacy. He is / was reputedly lining up Emilie Oldknow [senior unison official + former Labour Party insider implicated heavily in the leaked report] as Labour’s General Secretary

I hope you’re right, Kevin, but few things surpris me in the world of politics these days.

On this one I think I’m safe. If the quotes attributed to her are correct she will be nigh well unemployable anywhere
