Hmm, if they are allowed to go to the shops and are allowed to be together I don't see a big issue ... were they planning and running around coughing and spitting on people in the streets when they got there?

It’s two unwarranted journeys, risk of putting extra pressure on the local NHS and so on.

I gather it’s a holiday home. A Scots minister lost her job fr doing the same. Holiday venues don’t want visitors just now!!

Well the venues are right in many respects... but second home is for me a grey area... but ok get the point. I am a bit uncomfortable with where this state control is going though. Hard to see this not changing things permanently.

We’ve seen folk in the beauty spots begging people not to visit. I totally take your point about state restrictions continuing after the crisis: the uk govt is already fascist. Hope their criminal handling of the pandemic will see them destroyed, once it is over.

Yeah but look the rules are unworkable: “Moving to a friend’s address for several days to allow a ‘cooling-off’ following arguments at home,” was among other reasonable excuses listed." But a couple who haven't fallen out can't go to their second home?!

As clear as mud! Reminds me of rhyme of my childhood: Mother, may I go out to swim? Yes, my darling daughter! Hang your clothes on the hickory bush- But don’t go near the water! Mother was Ozzie! We didn’t have any hickory bushes in Kent!!
