Are you sure on the fines? I think non-essential journeys are in the remit. The police would only get involved I suspect at sightseeing hot spots and if there was a traffic incident - the first question they’d ask is why are you driving. As I said it’s a choice - but I’m not

I also have a friend - even older than me who doesn't drive so is stuck at home. I shop for her, pick up her prescriptions and so on and do the dog walk all in one trip.
