The downside is that there are many counter arguments My theory is promote positive action criticise the rich instead of poor (eg people going to their second homes - spreading the virus OUTSIDE of local area - that is worse and still going on - Guildford countryside mobbed)

I think splitting this into rich and poor Is over complicating it. People shouldn’t be out doing things the medical /scientific advisors. If we’re a few weeks behind Italy and the promoting and encouraging positive behaviour isn’t working then maybe we need something different.

the point is its easy to take micky out of silly poor people - but to hit home you need to hi-light mistakes of middle class (country walks outside of immediate council area, second homes etc etc). Remember: a ONE off lack of social distance is less dangerous then CONTINUOUS

I get that, but still think lumping continuous but necessary in with a one off piss up doesn’t make sense. If I saw a load of middle class people doing the equivalent id think they needed to be critiqued as well.

Up to you. I think being hi-lighted in Daily Mirror was more than enough punishment without twitter pilling in. Pick on others who are not in the Daily Mirror... That would be fair and equitable.

I think where we disagree is you categorising it as picking in and piling on (based on class) and I think it’s part of raising awareness as to what is selfish and dangerous behaviour.

Fair enough. At least we’ve done it without name calling which seems odd for Twitter.

Herd immunity appears to rely on herd mentality. But does a strong immunity derive from having raised spirits...nights in pubs?

Nicely said. I am not a statistician employed by government I have no idea if gov deciding to leave the pubs open to the Friday midnight was a good idea or bad. I bow to your insider knowledge as to why they did it & not the Monday before. You clearly think you know more than me.
