As NHS staff we are dedicated to helping those in times of acute or chronic illness & trauma and their after care. As a group we are weak. We won’t stand united to confront the gov or local management for fear of bullying but we will always be their for our patients.

If and when they return, will HMRC put them on an ‘emergency code’ (if that’s still a thing)? That will hit any earnings hard. I’m guessing that the government doesn’t expect retirees to work for nothing but… it’s the Tories, anything is possible.

I am a Civil Servants and have asked 'redundant' colleagues to return temporarily twice in the past 10 years due to unmanageable workloads caused, in significant part, by austerity agenda. Could not possibly tweet their replies.
