So they want to exempt the 100's of thousands of folk who work away from home? They want people not to book holidays over the polling period?

Postal votes are wide open to fraud. They still have the previous rules in N Ireland which limits them to 2% of the population. There are proxy votes for those who cannot vote due to unforeseen circumstances. Postal voting means less polling stations which hits turnout badly.

Postal votes are counted as turnout so your last point makes no sense. As for the rest all our forms of voting are open to fraud. Boxes going missing. Boxes being switched. Its all possible. Whats needed is a voting system that reflects 21st century.

But a system that can’t be hacked or rigged. I have zero faith in a digital voting platform at this stage. In a voting booth it’s easier to foot dodgy characters or practices - so let’s stick with that until a secure digital platform is found . Postal votes by real need only
