I was reliably told before last season it takes between 70 and 80 Million euro to run the team..... Two teams.... It won't be double but you get the picture

if the figures I was told are correct then fook me it's expensive.4 antwoorden 0 retweets 4 vind-ik-leuks -

I heard a similar figure Neil. A second team probably would cost 40 or 50 million extra? A lot of money. I still think regular WRC2 drives interspersed with full team WRC drives. Maybe hybrid development work? But still ignoring Paddon

Doesn’t the new sporting regs mean that drivers nominated in the 2nd manufacturer team can’t be used for manufacturer points in the “main” team. So if Andreas and Breen slot into Hyundai B they score points for B team, can still affect the manufacturers championship.

Think that may well be controlled. If they take it off others then fine, but I'm sure they wouldn't allow the main team to suffer.

So what’s the point running a proper second team? No extra points to be gained for the team or elite drivers. I think a mixed programme smaller than Sordo or Loeb in WRC cars - plus WRC2 drives
