Interesting this Kevin. Social fabric is falling apart as communities disintegrate. Response appears here to be lowering the threshold of acceptable parenting as a mechanism to reduce numbers of children in care.

Family Drug and Alcohol Courts are very welcome, as are Early intervention services. But the problem is caused by Tory austerity and won't be solved by pressuring local services further in a resource-starved environment. That's just avoiding the issue.

Your two tweets have encapsulated the issues. How do you rebuild social fabric that it took fifty years to destroy

Thanks Kevin. It's easy to criticise, isn't it? Much harder to work toward a solution. But it starts with wealth redistribution aimed at investing in communities by providing work and with funding support services to minimise the devastation on the next generation.
