As a person who was brought up in a working class family (mum a cleaner, dad a meter reader, council house, one UK caravan holiday a year) I relate to this. His town was not occupied by Thatchers police force during the miners strike in the 80’s. His family didn’t take holidays in a caravan in Mablethorpe. I hate to feel this way but I do. It’s what makes me working class regardless of how I am viewed today.
