My regular garden birds are on the increase (numbers not species) and I have had woodpecker visit since last year. Total absence of butterflies and ladybirds. Happy to report increase in bees and wasps this year.

Our bird numbers and species are pretty static. You are very luck to have the woodpecker - we have a pair of squawking Magpies. Bees are doing better with us and butterflies, but not ladybirds

Just realised, I haven’t seen a ladybird this year
Definitely more bees, which I hope continues. Seems to be no sparrows here in Hants, but plenty at my mum’s in South London. Seeing many more Red Kites though.pic.twitter.com/LYgoZlKB5Q2 antwoorden 1 retweet 5 vind-ik-leuks -

I saw quite a few butterflies, and seeing more ants than usual too. I live by a nature reserve, and saw less tadpoles and frogs too.
