I get why you feel that way but the alternative view is that on this (only this) Tom speaks for me & many members. We do not agree with party policy. The fence straddle alienates both Leave & Remain. There is little appetite for reason & compromise & it will lose us an election.

No, we cannot. Any election before a PV will be 99.9% about Brexit for at least 80% of the population. Too think otherwise is deluded. We can only have an election on substantive policy when Brexit is out of the way.
