Why can’t parents and young people accept school uniform rules any more? - ‘Girl, 14, humiliated after school staff said her trousers were too tight'https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/girl-14-humiliated-after-school-19974310 …
In most schools it’s jointly developed between staff, student and parents representatives and governors. When I was young you tried it on to stretch the rules, but if caught it was ‘fair cop guv’. But now parents hysterically whinge about why are they picking on my special one

They are not representative. How can they be replaced? As a Marxist, I oppose bureaucracy. Why should the way people dress matter anyway? Does anybody tell the "governors" how to dress?

Often breach of school uniform occurs because school uniform strictly prohibits the actual affordable clothes and practically forces parents to fork out a fortune
-
Also it's the parent buying the uniform so her mum must have believed it appropriate and within the rules yet the daughter is punished for a parents mistake
